My Approach
My style is warm and collaborative.
I believe in the innate wisdom of every individual, and utilize an integrative and eclectic approach to promote self-awareness, healing, wholeness, connectedness and growth within each of my clients.

Psychotherapy can open the space for a deeper understanding of ourselves and what may be limiting our potential. It is a process centered on the relationship between client and therapist. My primary aim is to create a foundation of trust and safety from which all the rest of our work together will grow. With openness and non-judgment, I will help you move past the habituated behaviors, beliefs and defensive structures that are keeping you stuck.
I am non-pathologizing and trauma-informed. I see you as a whole person. Regardless of history, symptoms or previous diagnoses, I believe in your strengths and capacities. We will use our time together to draw on those inner-resources and expand where needed and desired. I see the role of a therapist as a companion, guide and witness. I will listen carefully to you, attuning to what is being said and the underlying needs informing that expression.
As an integrative therapist, I pay attention to all the systems of the body and how they work together. We will also inquire into what is not being said; your emotions and felt sense, in order to release deeper layers of patterning.
I draw from relational and psychodynamic approaches while incorporating attachment theory and the most current research into trauma-informed care. Mindfulness is the thread that weaves my entire approach together, recognizing that present awareness and compassion are the keys to unlocking our truest selves.
Through the practice of curiosity and empathy, we will focus not just on alleviating symptoms but on getting to the root causes of distress. With increased insight and an expanded body awareness we can create the potential for the lasting change you desire.
